Description
The powerpot is the most the convenient way to control the speed of a
PMDC motor. It is a thyristor based speed controller using an advanced 8-bit
microcontroller for supervisory and protection functions. The microprocessor
guarantees slow start and instant shut down on faults. Three LED indicators
display status and error conditions. The two opto-isolated inputs can be used
as either enable or start /stop functions. Optionally one of the inputs can
be used as an event trigger. That is reverse if input B is true type of commands
can be handled. Input B also can be used as low speed inch control. There is
an opto-isolated zero speed output available which enables gating of motor reverse
with zero speed ensmmg that the drive is not damaged while reversing. The zero
speed output also ensures that the drive doesn't turn on while the motor is
still in motion due to inertial loads. The fuse at the motor output prevents
forced reverse rotation, which may arise due to load inertia. The powerpot features
error free snap-fit connectors, which are easy to interconnect. Thus the powerpot
is the most versatile, reliable, state of art PMDC motorcontrollor available
in the market.
